The MaxisIT eXchange CDISC Conversion Application facilitates the process of writing the Mapping Specifications document and SAS programs used for creating domain data sets. This Application eliminates the plethora of minutiae that makes this task labor-intensive and prone to error by exploiting CDISC metadata and implementing a programming strategy. This proven methodology identifies the target domains, including: SDTM, SUPPQUAL, RELREC, ADaM, as well as non-standard SDTM domains and utilizes this information to dynamically generate an interface that becomes the Mapping Specifications document which is used to generate the SAS ’shell’ programs such that each program contains most of the SAS code and follows a consistent programming strategy for creating domain data sets. Consequently, the eXchange CDISC Conversion Application automatically generates 50% of the Mapping Specifications document and up to 70% of the SAS code, thereby allowing the user to focus on what really matters à The Conversion of Clinical Data to the CDISC Standard Using a Robust Programming Methodology. The target domains are then validated using the MaxisIT CDISC Validation application, which meets the JANUS standard. Other CDISC Services
